Valley View Public School’s P & C Association

Valley View Public School has a P&C which is operated solely by volunteer parents of the school.

What does the P&C do?

  • Promotes the interest of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close cooperation.
  • Assists in providing facilities and equipment for the school and promoting the welfare of the students at the school.
  • Encourages parent participation in curriculum and other educational interests in schools.
  • Provides a voice for the community on committees, merit selection panels, and in policy development and reviews.
  • Volunteers for school promotional opportunities, operating the uniform shop and assisting in the canteen for breakfast club, special events and lunch times.

P&C Meetings

P&C meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month during school term from 7.00pm in the school library. All members of the school community are welcome to attend. You do not need to be a financial member, however if you would like to have voting rights, membership is required at a cost of $1.00 per calendar year.

Declaration for volunteers and non child related contractors

This declaration must be completed by volunteers and non-child related contractors seeking engagement with the school. They must also provide the school with 100 points of ID.

Such volunteers/contractors include:

  • Parents or close relatives who volunteer at their child's school. 
  • Day to day reading helpers, canteen helpers etc., who are a parent or close relative to a child at the school at which they are volunteering.
  • Contractors hired by the school or P&C to perform maintenance services or other additional services.
