Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
Our P&C is a group of parents, carers and school community members. They assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering. Our P&C works in partnership with our school to promote the interests of our school community.
Joining the P&C a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!
What is the P&C?
The Parents & Citizens Association supports the educational needs of all students enrolled at VVPS by bringing together parents, carers, citizens in the school community and teaching staff to discuss issues, news and events surrounding VVPS. We raise funds to contribute financially to the school.
At VVPS, the P&C runs the uniform shop, and we organise or help with school events such as mother’s and father’s day stalls, and school discos, and lots of other things.
Join our P&C
Joining the P&C a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!
Joining gives you membership for the year, until the next AGM takes place. Membership gives you access to the meeting agendas and minutes, and gives you voting rights for the new committee at each AGM.
You do not have to be a member to attend meetings.
P&C meetings
Everyone is welcome at our meetings. They are a great way to learn more about the school and our surrounding community, to get involved in your child’s school environment and education, as well as a place to connect with your fellow parents and carers.
Your Parents & Citizens Association at Valley View Public School meet on the second Wednesday of every month during school terms from 6:30pm in the school library. All members of the school community are welcome to attend these meetings.
