A year at our school

We are always excited to welcome our newest little Valley View learners to the View Start transition-to-Kindergarten sessions. Families meet teachers, explore the school and connect with others beginning the same journey. It is a warm, positive start that helps each child feel confident and ready for “big school.”

We are proud to offer a strong band program supported by the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music. Students learn instruments, rehearse each week and perform at school and community events. It is a wonderful way for children to develop confidence and musical creativity.

We bring the whole school together for our annual Colour Run, filling the oval with laughter, bright colours and excited energy. Students run, dance and cheer as staff and families join in the fun. It is a joyful celebration of community, movement and togetherness.

We celebrate Book Week with an eye-catching Book Parade where students dress as their favourite characters and proudly walk through the school. The day is filled with storytelling, imagination and a shared love of reading that inspires students of all ages.

We love coming together for our P&C community events, including our festive Carols Evening, the Discos and our relaxed outdoor Movie Nights. Families gather under the sky to enjoy music, performances and shared activities that strengthen connections and make our school feel like a welcoming community hub.

We take students on a range of rich excursions that bring learning to life — from ES1’s hands-on discoveries at the Reptile Park to Stage 3’s camp adventures that build teamwork and independence. These experiences expand curiosity, deepen understanding and create memories our students treasure.

We celebrate our community through a variety of whole-school events, including our our open and inviting Education Week activities, and our reflective ANZAC assemblies. Our highly anticipated annual Talent Quest brings excitement to the hall as students showcase their creativity and confidence. These events strengthen our school spirit and give every child a moment to shine.
