VIEW START PROGRAM
Term 4
Our transition to school program, known as View Start will commence in Term 4. Information will be presented in a series of weekly one hour sessions, held over a five-week period. Sessions will take place on Wednesday and children and parents are encouraged to participate in each weekly session.
During our View Start program, your child will participate in a variety of exciting and engaging activities involving Literacy, Numeracy, Art and Singing. These will be presented by our highly experienced and enthusiastic Kindergarten teachers.
The parent sessions will be held in the school library and will provide detailed information covering the similarities and differences between the pre-school setting and school, organisational aspects of school life and snapshots of what Literacy and Numeracy looks like in a Kindergarten classroom.
View Start is an excellent opportunity for your child to become familiar with the school in preparation for next year. The sessions are also a great chance for you and your child to connect with other families who will be starting Kindergarten.
The fee for attending our program is $25. This includes an extensive parent pack containing valuable information on starting school, children's resources and a View Start starting school T-shirt for your child to wear during their visits. This fee is payable at the front office.
It is anticipated that two groups will be offered with approximately twenty-five children in each. We ask that you enrol your child in one of the groups by calling our front office to book your preferred day and time. Please note- children will remain with this group for the duration of View Start.
