About Breakfast Club
The P&C, in conjunction with staff at Valley View, recognised a need in supporting our students to kick start their day. This was not just necessarily to provide a healthy breakfast, but also to assist those who may need to arrive at school early (for various reasons), who are having social issues in the playground, or simply for students to pop in for a social visit and a slice of toast before the school day begins.
With all of this in mind, the P&C decided to support and fund the Breakfast Club. The club has been running since 2007, during which time it has grown substantially.
The Breakfast Club currently offers fresh fruit and toast to students from the canteen on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with assistance of the Year 6 School Leaders. All bread provided for the Breakfast Club is donated by Bakers Delight at Wyoming with the fruit and all spreads donated from our wonderful Valley View Public School Community.
It is with volunteer supporters that this Breakfast Club is able to be as successful as it is, and the P&C extends a genuine and warm thank you to each and every one of our volunteers, sponsors and donors.
The Breakfast Club is run by the voluntary P&C position of Breakfast Club Coordinator who works in conjunction with the P&C Executive Team members, particularly the Vice President. If you know of anyone who would love to volunteer and help us, or would like to volunteer yourself, please feel free to contact our P&C Vice President who will gladly answer any of your questions. Please email them at vicepresidentvvpc@gmail.com.
